Scan, treat and transport patients in the same position between CT scanner and HDR treatment room.

CT treatment planning has demonstrated its value of providing complete 3D structure definition and dose volume histogram analysis for high dose rate (HDR) treatments. Unfortunately, most facilities lack the ability to perform CT imaging and HDR treatments within the same, dedicated room. Most centers require movement of the patient from CT simulation room to the HDR suite for treatment. Scanning of the patient may require unique hardware to move the patient to where they can be scanned. Patient transportation becomes challenging as multiple transfers of the patient, from CT table to patient stretcher to HDR treatment table, pose high risk for applicator movement and possibly extreme patient discomfort.

Benefits:

Scan and treat in the same position

Minimize the risks of applicator movement

Easily transfer the patient from the CT to treatment room
