The compression device of mammographic installations has to be checked during acceptance tests. The set for testing the compression device comprises a foam cuboid with a specified density and an non-calibratable electrical device with a scale displaying the mechanical force of the mammo compression device (measuring range 0-300 N ± 5 N; displayed unit is kg). It measures the compression force for all selectable settings, including the maximum value. The measured values and the indicated values at the mammographic X-ray equipment shall agree within the specified tolerances and the maximum force specified shall not be exceeded.
