The quality of film viewing boxes and monitors in X-ray diagnostics has to be monitored regularly. Boxes and image display devices are tested easily by using the battery operated CD LUX Meter, which measures the luminance in cd/m2. With the LUX detector measurements of the (room) illuminance in lux can be performed. A spacing tool helps to place the detector at the right distance, while a built-in laser pointer allows correct positioning by indicating the measuring spot. The CD LUX Meter includes a USB 2.0 interface. The optional Mavo-Max is a self-contained small measuring device designed for the monitoring of the ambient light in the surrounding of image display devices for continuous operation. Two LEDs indicate directly if the ambient light is within the permissible light range.
