In areas of high activity such as (found in) hot labs, the auxiliary shield for the ßETA Enhanced shields the sensitive NaI crystal from external high background. When additional shielding is needed, Capintec provides a ßETA Enhanced auxillary shield. The shield is custom designed to fit around the front of the detector unit without limiting access to the well opening. The one quarter inch lead shield is coated with baked-on epoxy paint for safety and durability.
