The Thallium Injection Shield integrates with an IV or butterfly infusion system. The shield holds a 3 cc or 5 cc syringe firmly in place on the patient’s arm with an adjustable Velcro® fastener and permits immediate safe injection of thallium. The barrel of the shield is constructed of .08″ (2 mm) thick tungsten that will reduce radiation exposure. A 4.2 density lead glass window provides protection and visibility. The interior of the barrel behind the glass has a white coating that improves the view of the syringe and contents. A thumbscrew holds syringes firmly in place.
